si
As an English speaker, it is natural to think that ‘si’ means ‘am’, but ‘si’ is not a verb. It is a particle without a meaning. It’s function is to let one know that a proper noun, usually a name, follows it.
This is the form when introducing one person. When there is more than one person, the is a small change to the structure:
Síla si Lisa ugParticle tying the verb to the direct object More Dakota.
They are Lisa and Dakota.

and (conj)
Note that ‘ug’ can also be used as a particle to separate a verb from the direct object, as will be shown later. But also note that ‘u’ and ‘o’ are interchangeable. When used as a direct object, it often appears with the spelling ‘og’.
